We had just gotten married when we opened our first little stand in Longview, Texas, in 2015 serving snow cones out of a vintage Airstream. From the very beginning, we made our syrups entirely from scratch, using real ingredients and bold flavors. The result was something different—fresh, vibrant, and unlike anything most people had tasted before. To our surprise (and gratitude), the community showed up in a big way. Lines wrapped around the block, and from day one, we felt incredibly supported.
As demand grew, so did our dream. We opened three locations and built a loyal following of people who believed in what we were doing. And then, in 2020, everything changed. Sitting at our kitchen table in the middle of Covid, we faced a hard choice: close up shop or completely reimagine our business. Thanks to encouragement, wisdom, and support from the people around us, we chose innovation.
That same week, we turned our snow cone flavors into something new—popsicles. Not just any popsicles, but frozen sticks that captured the scratch-made flavors our customers already loved. We got into the kitchen, made 2,500 ShiverSticks, launched them online, and sold out in just two minutes. We were blown away. And honestly, so thankful.
What started as a creative pivot quickly became the future of our business. Even after Covid, ShiverSticks stayed on the menu at our Airstreams, and demand only grew. Stores began calling, customers in other states asked for shipping, and it became clear that this little East Texas idea had room to grow. With guidance from a trusted friend in the food industry, we took the leap into national distribution.
In 2024, ShiverSticks officially launched nationwide. Today, our pops are sold in 38 states (and counting!), still made with the same heart and commitment we started with, simple ingredients, real fruit, and wildly good results.
From the beginning, our mission has stayed the same: to create frozen treats that feel fresh, fun, and unforgettable. Whether it’s the creamy richness of Brown Cow, the bright burst of Sunshine, or the nostalgic swirl of Strawnilla, every stick is made to bring joy, one bite at a time.
We’re incredibly thankful for the people who believed in us early on, the community that showed up again and again, and the customers who continue to support a family-owned business doing things the right way. Our dream is to keep innovating, keep delighting, and keep sharing what started in a little vintage Airstream: frozen treats made ethically, crafted with care, and always, always delicious.
